Help! I think I’m going to give up on this. Should I or no? I made it 183 pages, and I just don’t care about any of the characters and James is not articulate enough for me to really know what is going on 100% of the time—I don’t like his writing style, if it’s a tree say it’s a tree for gosh sake. I need advice—What do you think?? Should I stick it out another 200 pages? I’ve been trying to choke it down for a month!

Toss the book. Life is too short to waste time on a book that is doing nothing for you. Having said that, I’ll admit I usually make myself finish anything I start.

I know! It’s so hard! I just closed the thing without the bookmark and put it back on my shelf. Now that I’ve done that I feel better leaving it.

Ditch the book. Life is too short to spend it reading things you really don’t like when there are so many other books you do like waiting to be enjoyed. 🙂 Books are not vegetables that have to be choked down. 😉

Dump it! You have much more stamina than I do when it comes to a bad read. There are so many fun things to do in life – a bad read just keeps you away from them. Thank you for toughing it out and sharing!
