I'm the host and creator of the podcast, Loving the Imperfect. I'm a freelance writer and historical researcher in Detroit. I hold a master’s degree in education from Oakland University with a concentration in English and history. My fiction and poetry have appeared in Halcyone Magazine, The 3288 Review, The Write Launch, and the Ketchup Press. My nonfiction has been featured in Valley Living Magazine, Michigan Out of Doors Magazine, and Planet Detroit News. I have won awards for my writing through Oakland University, and my film, Not For Sale was selected for four film festivals. In my spare time, I whittle, repair broken violins, and I love to fish. I reside somewhere in Michigan with my husband, children, and the fastest dog that ever lived.

12/17/23. Brianne, I just read your website for the first time. I am well into my 60s and inspired by all you have done thus far in your young life. Are you still participating in the Celtic spiritual community? I am also a seeker of higher levels of spiritual growth beyond St. Phil’s.
Blessings to you and your family for a glorious Christmas and 2024. – Susan Berg

Thanks Susan!! It’s funny, I’ve been thinking about picking up with Anamcara again. I stopped my membership for a while because I was having a hard time balancing some stuff. I feel like I’ve just been floating since. I could talk to you anytime about it if it’s something you’re considering.
